Netflix’s new update makes it easier to find stuff to stream fast
Netflix announced Monday that its My List app on iOS and Android will be receiving a number of new updates. You can now organize your watchlist on mobile devices using new filters and sorting features. Updates will be rolled out to Android devices starting today. iOS devices will follow in the next few weeks.
What’s new? Netflix users can filter My List by selecting from four options: Movies and TV Shows; Haven’t started or Started. You can also sort alphabetically based on the date you added a movie to your watchlist or release date. You can also delete items from your list by swiping the title.
A new feature has been added to the TV app that will help you stay up-to-date with all of the latest releases. Netflix has added a Coming Soon section to its home page to inform users when new TV shows and movies will be released. Users can also set up reminders.
Subscribers can currently navigate to the New and Popular menu in order to scroll down rows of Coming Next Week, Worth the Wait, or Coming This Week. The carousels are still available but the prominent placement of Coming Soon will make it easier to locate release dates. The new feature is set to be rolled out across the globe in the coming weeks.
Netflix has also recently upgraded its accessibility features. These include improvements to audio description, and the ability to change subtitle settings on TVs. Check out this cheat sheet and guide to secret codes for more information about Netflix.
