Whatsapp now lets you edit sent messages. here’s how
Did you hit the send button too early? WhatsApp has a new edit feature which allows you to edit your sent messages. This is useful if you made a mistake or want to reconsider what you said. The company announced that the new feature will be rolled out to the secure messaging application on Monday.
There is a limit to the new feature. Only 15 minutes after a message is sent can you edit it. When a message is edited, the word “edited”, will appear next to it. This lets the recipient know that the message was changed.
Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, posted a Facebook update on Monday that showed an example of this new feature, replacing the typo “Beast Of Luck!” Best of luck!
WhatsApp has added several new features over the past few months. In February, WhatsApp added a new feature called Status, which is similar in concept to Instagram Stories. It allows users to upload a photo or video for 24 hours. In April, WhatsApp announced that it would allow users to use their accounts on multiple devices.
How to edit an already sent message on WhatsApp
You can edit messages sent on WhatsApp. It’s easy to do if you are still within the 15 minute window where editing is enabled.
You can edit a message by pressing the long-press button, just like you would to add an emoji or reply. Select Edit from the menu that appears. The message can be edited to correct typos or altered.
