Microsoft bing ai chat widgets: how to get them on ios and android
Microsoft celebrated the 100-day anniversary of the launch of artificial intelligence powered search on Bing with some updates this week. Microsoft has added a chatbot to the phone screen on both iOS and Android.
Microsoft announced Tuesday that it would be launching a Bing Chat widget. Soon, you will be able click on the Bing icon in order to directly land into the new Bing Chat Experience, or click the mic icon to ask a verbal question.
Microsoft announced Bing search in February, powered by the same large language technology behind ChatGPT. It called its search engine “AI-powered web co-pilot.” Bing added a chat feature to its search results that incorporates information from OpenAI.
Bing AI chatbot became available to all Microsoft Account holders in early May. However, it was only compatible with the Edge browser for computers, smartphones, and tablets, and the Bing App. You can use Bing AI Chat without a Microsoft Account starting this week. However, you will be limited to five chat sessions per session.
The news of Tuesday means that it is now also available as a widget.
Microsoft has also announced that it will bring AI-powered Bing into the Compose function in SwiftKey’s keyboard. “This feature will draft text according to your parameters — not only the subject but also message tone, format, and length.”
The chatbots can now be used on both mobile devices and desktops.
